I have one of the Mustangs Unlimited single outlet headers. The #6 tube was a little too close to the shock tower on my '62 Falcon so I had to hammer the shock tower and the header a little for it to clear. And the flange at the bottom rubbed on the mount for the Pittman arm. They have plenty of them in stock, but $250 is a little overpriced IMO considering that I had to modify it to get it to work.

The collector these come with has an outlet of 2.5" so its different from the common 3" collector on most V8 headers. The pipe they give you for the collector necks down to 1 7/8" or so, but it will expand out to 2 1/2".

As for the sound these headers give, with a 2 1/4" exhaust, its like the stock exhaust sound, but deeper and throatier. I forget what kind of muffler I got, but its something like "turbo-max"... one of the cheaper turbo mufflers.
I got 350 heads on a 305 engine. I get 10 miles to the gallon, I ain't got no good intentions.

Howdy,

There's another thought about the "bare" headers. I know for certain the clifford headers come with a silver paint that is NOT hi temp.

After I installed the Clifford's headers, and the paint burned off, I had to take them off and repaint them. I used BBQ hi-temp so I could get sort of a tan color.

An update on my experience with the Mustang's Unlimited headers... I had a collapsed motor mount on the passenger's side which tilted the engine 1/2" or so. After fixing the motor mount the headers now fit perfectly.
