anyone run the "i think 450cfm" holley truck avenger?

Clifford performance (sucks) tells me they can't seem to tune the truck avenger carb to the ford 300. Really doesn't surprise me they can't igure it out with what i have learned of them from personal experiance. Anyone try it? I can't see why it would be any more difficult than tuneing any holly carb to any other engine. P.s. i am done with clifford perf.

It is a 470 cfm and tuning problems with that carb have been reported on the Speed Talk Forum.

FWIW I run an old 60s era Holley 480 4V on my drag truck and it runs great, better than a 650 double-pumper, so the flow is about right for our 300. It must be something of a flaw with the avenger series carb, or maybe inept tuners.

most of the time the air bleeds are too small and there is a passage in the block that needs opened up as well...too small...
