Seventy to eighty percent of the registrations received are from bots or spammers, that are simply attempting to place a link on our site, or in some cases post topics with links. These links are normally to porn sites, drug sales, dating services, or various other website's, which we do our best to eliminate.
When you register, an e-mail is sent to the Site Admin for approval. We do our best to approve them daily, but it can take a few days or sometimes up to a week. Occassionally we are unavailable for personal reasons, such as an illness, or we may be out of town on a business trip. However, we will do our best to approve them as quickly as possible.
If you do not receive an e-mail confirming your approval within a week, or if you experience problems logging on, please e-mail the Administrator. Make sure you include your USER NAME whenever you contact us. If your USER NAME is not included, we will not be able to help you.
When you register, it is best to use a USER NAME that has something to do with automobiles or motors. Most bots or spam registrations use random letters or common names, such as "RobertSmith" or "JohnDoe". Or common words linked together.
A user name which refers to something automotive, such as your vehicle type, year, or engine size, has a much better chance of getting a speedy approval. Examples would be "RobertSmithsCoupe"' or "JohnDoe200", or something similar. Registrations using random letters, or common words or names, will not be approved and require sending an e-mail to the site Administrator for approval.
You also have a much better chance of getting approved quickly, if you fill in your location, as Bots and spammers never fill in this text box. Plus it helps if members know your general location, when posting in some sections, such as the "Buy and Sell" section.
Your USER NAME must be sixteen (16) characters or less. Avoid user names that are sexual in nature or offensive, as they will not be approved.
Again, whenever you contact the site Administrator, make sure you include your USER NAME at all times. We do not need PASSWORDS.
