2 Questions, Damper and Master Cyl.

Hello All, I'm putting my 144 back together and want to get a new damper (harmonic balancer). The Mac's Auto website is only showing one, fitting all 60-77 sixes. They used to show a separate one for the early 144's and 170's like mine. Will the "newer" one work?
Second, I put a new brass T-fitting (from Falcon Parts) on my master cylinder. I've tightened it as far as I can to where it still lines up with the brake lines, but I get slight seepage. Question: Can Teflon tape be used on this fitting? Would a washer possibly be the answer? Thanks

While I don't have specific answers to your questions, I usually recommend

http://www.damperdoctor.com/

for a balancer rebuild.
And never put teflon tape on anything having to do with brakes.
I don't know the answer for you but it isn't telfon tape. ;)

+1 on have it rebuilt and never use teflon tape on anything ever. Especially on any thread on your engine, brake/fuel system, car.

If it's a npt thread connection and not a dbl flare, use pipe dope like rectorseal regular/yellow, megalock, etc
