The intake manifolds may be a tight fit, with very little clearance between the intake and the shock tower, depending on the year and model of your vehicle. However there are a couple of options which may give you a bit more clearance. First, the motor mounts can be shimmed to rock the motor slightly to the drivers side of the engine bay. You can also take (mill) a quarter inch off the intake flange, as this will not harm the strength. Just be sure not to take off much more than a quarter inch. Another option for added assurance is to install a turnbuckle or torque strap, which prevents the motor from rocking under heavy loads and/or torque.

While we didn't have any clearance issues installing a 2V carb, this is not the case when installing a 4V carb. Depending on the year, model, engine size, type of export brace, and carb orientation, you may or may not have fitment issues. Even if you encounter a problem, it can be resolved with a little ingenuity. The biggest problem seems to be the stock/export bracing. While the braces can be trimmed, we recommend installing an aftermarket tube style brace. While we haven't tried this yet, were fairly confident this will alleviate the problem entirely. The following photos will give you an idea of the problems you may or may not encounter when installing your intake and carb setup.
