Yea glad to say after fighting it I was victorious. Lol used a pan full diesel fuel I put the pump side down in it overnight. I spent over an hour prying yesterday with no luck. She was corroded around the case pretty good. But thank you much

c4 front pump pointers?

Any pointers on getting the front pump out been trying the stick a screw driver in between the input drum and pry method that the Haynes manual says but the pump just don't wanna move. Any help be greatly appreciated

My transfer has the a servo in it. My spare parts transfer gas the the Oldman has a c4 with a Windsor bellhousing but it's buried I think I'm ok with my a servo

Is that what the casting on the servo cover means? Pulled the c4 out of my maverick it has an a cast on it and have a c4 out of a 67 mustang with a z cast on it. Witch one would be better to have if any different. Pulled it out due to some first gear slippage. Got a rebuild kit trying my hand at the...

Both have pluses and minuses Id like to do a supercharger build but turbos are Easyer to package and can be cheaper but the instant power of a supercharger. Has its advantage

Yea I knew of a fellow that was killed by a flex fan aluminum bladr came loose and went into his chest. kinda leaning towards electric but was thinking clutch fan would be easyer lol I been getting lazy. I read on here about somebody running a tauras alt for increased output

So.my 200 still has the 4 blade factory fan. Just curious if changing to either a flex or clutch fan would have any noticeable effect on mpg? Or should I bite the bullet and go to.a electric set up?

We had a Lincoln welder with a 200 has d5 head on it. Would the industrial engines have hardend seats? Had an air compreser with a 200 too.

Powerglides aint great daily driver trans. Had a 66 buick with a 340 and a glide in it. Go c4 or c6. heck id rather an fmx over a glide

Some of the 77 up heads had an hex shaped log. They actualy had a little more volume than the flat top.

One way to check is pop the distibutor cap.off and if you see two springs on.the breaker plate its a load a matic.

Now is it the stock 66 distibutor? Load a matic? 14° initial sounds a touch far. Gotta remember that the mechanical advance will throw it 20 to 30 degress more depending on the slot its in. thats potentionaly 44° total advance. my 2 cents

Machine shops can put bushings in to your rods to make them .912 I had a crazy stroker idea with an FE where I had to go from .975 to .912 I think he qouted me $75 to do it.

Yea spray some pb blaster to help loosen the carbon up and use some thing the wont gouge the akuminum piston or if your using a scuff pad to clean the deck up just go over the piston tops

Dont doubt the 390 for torque my F250 with the 390 gets a trailer with 10,000 to 12,000 lbs of scrap metal loaded on it and handles it rather well. Just make sure you have a good trailer brake controler lol.

Autozone starters are worthless put 3 on a 66 ford with a 352. Advance aint much better. after 3 burt armetures I took a ride to carquest and had no problems out of it.

I swear this is why I hate cheap clamp.type battery terminals. They always seem to corrode under the cheap.metal straps.and junky gm side post terminals.

No sir no load a matic its a 70 maverick.with mechanical and vacum advance. I was planing on getting a duraspark distributer but as it happens I lost my job a week ago so I was piddling around with what I have. It does seem to idle smoother than it did. The msd box is an older type,.i had it for awh...

So pulled the ole 1940 off and put a yf on the 200 tonight and though id go ahead and put the msd box that I picked up at a swap meet on. Its an old 5200 points box. Well what im wondering is should I reset my timing? Im not familiar with running one. And I guess next upgrade may be a blaster coil. ...

Got a set of mag slots on the maverick. Put 225-70-14 on the back 215-70-14 on the front. General Grabbers are the type. Seem to be good tires for the price

I have a 69.5 with the dash mount ignition switch but I call it a 70 lol with a 71 grabber hood. 200 with a c4. Picked up a weber the other day thinking about taking a d5 head I got and direct mounting it, has a 1940 holley now but cant seem to clear the slight skip up at idle. :bang:

I know jb doesnt hold up on exaust at all. As a cheap ass I am I tryed to fix the steel exaust donut on my old international truck.and about 20 minutes of driving and it was broken down and turned to ash.
