I had the same issue after my build. Decided to run a valve cover breather (open) and had the oil leaking from the dipstick tube as well. Went back to running a traditional PCV and hose connection and it went away.

Problems reoccurring fuel was flowing from the base of the carbs (2 and 3) at shut off. Quick cure was turning on the fan to cool the motor. I'm beginning to believe that you get what you pay for and the Mr. Gasket fuel pressure regulator just wasn't doing the job. I recently ordered a Holley 0-4 ps...

All above advice is solid. Depending on how much head work was done and overall build that jetting is a good start. I run 195 in all three. Idle is around 13.8 but Wide open in 12.6-8 using a F.A.S.T. Dual wide band a/f ratio.. Progressive linkage.

Is anyone running them synched or mainly in a progressive set up. It would be a whole new jetting mapping but if I can get the response of wide open right off the pedal it may be worth playing around with?

I have not yet run the car down the track. I was still running airover leafs last time I was at the all ford show. Have since 4 linked so I know the car would hook up much better through the 60'. Will plan on running some 1/8th mile at PIR this spring though. Just eager to see what the car will do.

Just do your research and come up with the best motor for your use. I really like tinkering so tri-power does that because those carbs have so much attitude depending on the weather. Looking at some of the build specs and Dyno numbers I feel that my numbers weren't so bad on my engine build.. Tempted to take her back for another run now that the motor has broken in. Good work to all those who have built up our sixes using the the log heads..

New Carpet

New 80/20 loop for the falcon is on the way. Decided to switch up and go with black instead of red. Still will have a red and black interior scheme. Best part was when pulling out the old carpet the floors were in great shape. I will hush mat the floor then install the new carpet.

Car hooks up nice.. Man what a difference the 4 link makes. Can come off a light at medium throttle then hit it and the end just lights up. No wheel hop just a nice smokey trail..

Well after the All Ford Show couple of weekends ago put the car up on the stands and notched and boxed the cradle. Relocated the upper shockwave mounts to get the car down another 2 inches. In the front simply dropped the air over shock mounts to under the upper arm so it would sit lower as well. En...

well after doing some additional measuring too much work to notch the cradle instead I just reset the front some the rake at both ride height and drop is more appealing to my eye. Amazing how much an 1/2 and inch will make in your cars stance.

Well there is always going to be a trade off. Stepped up my main carb jet from 185 to a 200. I have some 190's but thought go big then bring down is needed. I'm sure my overall jetting is an air corrector issue but jets are what I have on hand. According to my air fuel ratio # at WOT pulling 11.2-.7...

So far so good the ride has a tighter feel to it. Only (-) is that with the rear cradle I sit about a 1.5" higher that my air over leaf set up. easy fix just raise the front static drop height to balance out the rake when the bags are dumped. In the winter I'll notch the cradle to clear the dif...

Mostly noticed my numbers off at idle or city driving where I was primarily running off the center carb. The unit I went with was the F.A.S.T unit. I can read then bank individually or average them out which will fool you on the numbers. Running them in a dual mode I can see how the 123 / 456 banks ...

Recently switched back to all 185 jet sizes in the 3 carbs. Better top end. A huge thanks to Xstacy for his calculations and getting me in the ballpark. When we Dyno'd they suggested based on A/F numbers he even thought that running all 175 jets would be the trick.

185's in all 3 carbs is giving the best A/F numbers and my top end power is much better. I'm considering openning up the venturi's to 31mm from the stock 29mm that should kick up my CFM from 300 to 350 allowing me to run the larger jets.

I can only say that the sound for my application has a deep note. Running the dual 44's with no X or H is loud. When I show up at a show people assume that I am running a built small block. Finding a exhaust set up is going to be a matter of choice and also how your motor is set up. A more built mil...

your right on track.. Based on my cruise #'s I could drop down to a 175 primary jet. I like my transitional #'s though running the 185 jet un the primary. I am 3/4 turn out on the idle mixture with an A/F of 13.8 at Idle. WOT is 12.3-12.5.. Much better top end.

OK after jetting experimenting and reading my FAST A/F monitor, and a huge thanks to Extacy I did as suggested and went to 185 mains for all three. Cruise readings 13.5/ WOT reading 12.5. Car pulls so much nicer. I was just over jetting with the 190/175/190 WOT A/F was dropping to 10.7..

MAke sure that the ball joint diameters input is the same. I had to ream out my spindle to get the later model ball joint to fit.
