Re: FYI, selling my FI system in the for sale small six section

Did you finally get it tuned? I read your blog that the engine would idle, but not if it was driveable.

Would it be possible to get your msq tune file? I'm interested in your VE and timing advance tables.
I'm considering installing an EFI on my 200 with Megasquirt and would like a place to start.

What vehicle do you want to install the 200 engine in?

If your vehicle already has the Ford 144 or 170 you'll be fine, they all have the same dimensions.
The 250 is taller and longer overall than the 200/170/144.

Another way to distinguish a 200 from a 250 is the starter location. A 200 has the starter above the oil pan flange. A 250 has the starter below the oil pan flange. The 250 also used the same bellhousing as the 302, and the same size flywheel/clutch although the flywheel is neutral (zero) balanced. ...

The 1.6 rocker would give you a larger lift (6%) with the cam that's in your 170.
If you have a cam with a 0.348" lift, the 1.6 rocker arms would make it seem like a 0.371" lift.

One thing to remember about the 170 is the stroke is shorter than the 200 (2.940" vs 3.126") with the same rod, so that portion of the crank is closer to the centerline. This would help stiffen the crank along with the thicker counterweights as opposed to a four or even seven main 200. The...

As mentioned previously, in the later years the 200 and 250 used the same head. The 200 was produced in the early 80's and can be found in the Fairmont/Zephyr/Mustang/LTDII. The casting code starts with E0 or E1 and has the largest log head volume of 1420cc. Just another place to find the better head.
