Re: 300 in Sprint Car

Yes sir. Thanks.
Does that also mean that you need a quarter inch spacer between the flywheel and the crankshaft to make sure the torque converter engages the front pump in the transmission?
I'd like to see more pictures of your project when you have time. Looks like fun!

I hope this isn't too dumb of a question, but do you have to do anything special to the transmission to run at the 30 degree tilt? Do they run manuals or automatics? Thanks.

Hello everyone, another advantage to using an econoline axle is that any stock intermediate size GM disc brake rotors & bearings from 1973 to 1977 will fit on the econoline spindles without machining. All that's needed is an extra spacer ( washer) placed behind the spindle nut. And, to make a ca...

All this engine needs is a head with big enough ports & bowls to feed the cfm that a 50 cid. cylinder needs to breath. It doesn't have to be crossflow.
With water cooling, the right carburation, & a big cam this engine will make 500 hp. on the street easy!

Question? How much taller is the SBC 2.02 valve than the stock Ford 1.78 valve?
