Sorry you haven’t gotten a response. If I was a full time business I’d be a lot better at responding. I’ve imported the Lynx Weber and SU manifolds.
If you’ve been using the contact feature on the webpage, try emailing me instead. info@vintageinlines.com

Re: Mystery hole in the intake manifold.

That hole is used to remove core sand. We put a plug in them now.
I believe the previous response is correct regarding the 2 threaded holes on the outboard side of the plenum. Maybe plumbed originally?

Re: Big Six aluminum head update 9-14

I do have the mold boxes Mike had made. Over the summer we had molds made from them. There were some problems with them (as Mike found out) serious enough that they would not make a working head if cast. There also appeared to be no performance upgrades, according to the foundry that inspected the m...

Re: Where to source rocker arms

Chad's right. That's where I get my rocker arm assemblies and pushrods. I have some YT sets, but no pushrods to go with them. I may start getting the pushrods from Clay Smith. They are more expensive, but they are high performance versus a stock level. We are facing a shortage of rebuildable stock a...

Re: VI Alloy Cylinder Head Update!

The heads should be on a truck heading to me by now. When they get here, we have to install the guides and seats and assemble. Planning to pressure test a handful and a few other quality checks to minimize the chance of issues. If you've placed a deposit and haven't gotten emails from me, check your...

Re: speed daddy headers

Hi guys, The header I sell is the same one. I have laid it side by side with my original CI piece and the only apparent difference is the hook up. Mike used a flat gasket rather than a donut. My assumption is that he found a source to modify the one from Speed Daddy, because their parent company cla...

I know you've been back for a little while now, but I'm very happy you are!! Thank you so much. BTW- I have 6 144 heads in various stages of modification. Two different mechanical fuel injection styles. They came off hydroplane racers from the 60's. I hope to get at least one of the engines running....

Re: 144 vs 170 Head dimensions

That's great. The carb bore might be one of the most important.

Any idea if the log diameter/circumference was different? The volumes are supposed to be very slightly different.

I'm talking to Offenhauser about the 144 version.

144 vs 170 Head dimensions

Hi everyone. "This is not a which head should I use?" post. No advice about that please :) Offy used to make a 3-1V adapter for the 144 then another for the 170/200. Can anyone give a definitive answer on if there is a dimensional difference in the logs? I'm going to check my Performance H...

I don't have headers yet. Hopefully I can find a supplier at SEMA next week. I do have what's called a "Starter" kit. Dual or single exhaust, stainless or aluminized, and available in 1.75", 2.0" or 2.25". They were designed to fit the CI header, so will likely work with SD....

I know of a foundry that states they made between 140-150 castings for Mike. My intention is to bring the head back to the market for those of us that never got the chance to buy one.

Re: "82 200 in a fairmont

I'm considering putting an AOD behind one so I have to have the low mount starter. I'm tall so I'm not sure if a 5 speed is going to work for me but I really want overdrive for the highway. I have seat track extenders coming and I'll reevaluate the clutch pedal situation then. Currently have a C4.
