Re: Anyone here successfully running an aftermarket EFI System, Megasquirt, Holley Hp, Sniper, Atomic, FITech?

I am running a Holley sniper 2300 on my 200 3.3L inline in my 65 Mustang and works great. I have seen the biggest improvements in overall performance since installing. Starting is easier, idle is smoother, throttle response/acceleration is better, and gas mileage went up about 5 miles to the gallon....

What is your favorite Street/Strip plug for the inline 3.3L 200 ?

What is your favorite Street/Strip plug for the inline 3.3L 200 ?

I am looking for a little hotter plug to run and wanted to see what experiences others have had finding a good Street/Strip plug for our little inlines.

Re: Block swap questions

Econoline -- No need to apologize for hijacking thread when good information is being shared for everyone's benefit. The sniper 2300 software is easy to setup. To update the firmware you just pull the SD from the hand held, download the firmware files from Holley and rewrite the files on SD card wit...

Re: Block swap questions

Econoline -- The sniper 2300 works great -- I had to set it up with no timing control and update the firmware but so far it has not given any problems. Easier starts, smoother idle, great throttle response and appears to have a lot more torque. I have run both the weber 32/36 and the weber 38 and th...

E1ghtTrack's recent Block Swap

I had to replace block in my 65 Mustang and wanted to debut her on the internet by sharing some pics with you guys/girls. She has wanted to be a cam-car for a few years now but I kept telling her once you put those pics on the internet they are forever and I just wanted her to be a nice little car. ...

Re: Block swap questions

yes the block was dual pattern - Everything interchange with no issues at all -- and thanks for the link I will read up on that - right now I have it running using HEI distributor with no timing control.

Re: Block swap questions

Thanks for replies guys -- It looked to be dual pattern and I was pretty sure it would work but wanted to get clarification. The carb wont be an issue I had previously replaced Head with large modified log and recently upgraded to Holley Sniper EFI carb. Guess I need to update my signature to reflec...

Block swap questions

I currently have a 1965 inline 200 with the c4 cruise o matic transmission installed. The block cracked right near passenger side head bolt and near water pump housing. I recently picked up a block and head with casting D8BE 6015 GC . I wanted to know if I would be able to use the bell from my 65 wi...

Poorly lit or Dim Gauge Lights -- Fixed

I just thought I would share my fix for the poorly lit Gauge design in my 65 Mustang Coupe. What I did was purchased the 12V Strip LED lights and applied them all the way around the edges of the gauge housing. You can get them in variety of colors and it worked very well. I would have to say it was ...

Re: Flat spot with weber 32/36

I agree with Mustang6 completely, rejetting is a must and what works for everyone else may not work for you and your setup. When you go to rejet make sure you get a good variety of jets ( mains, secondary and Air ). It has taken me quite a while to get mine tuned in but I think I have it pretty clos...

jimlj66 The timing was off 180*, previous owner had #1 post on distributor run to #6 chamber on head. All good though got new ignition system installed and running good, wired to factory specs, vacuum tuned and timing advanced 12*. She is running good for small log and small carb. Re: Late Model Large log and Carb questions --

Re: Timing and Firing Order Issues

Not wired backwards on cap but on cylinders -- they have it wired at block to where Number 1 cylinder is at firewall .. Just the opposite of how it should be. Basically not Number 6 cylinder fires as number 1.

Timing and Firing Order Issues

65 Mustang 200 - Installed HEI distributor today and noticed that previous owner has car firing order backwards. They have it wired with Number 1 cylinder starting at back of motor near firewall. Correct me if I am wrong but Number 1 is always at front of engine right ... Car starts and runs no prob...

Re: Late Model Large log and Carb questions --

Thanks for reply - I was kinda leaning towards the HEI distributor for simplicity of wiring but will research the duraspark route a little more.

Now I need to find a cheap Carter YF until I can afford to have head log milled....

Late Model Large log and Carb questions --

I was able to find a large log head casting E0BE-6090-BB - got it for a fair price. Now I would like to learn from others and save some time and money in regards to making choices about carburetor, ignition, and machine work. Currently I have 65 mustang 200, C4 trans, with headers, borla exhaust, pe...
