TFI to DSII swap including carb

Want to ditch the feedback carb and TFI dizzy in my 86 F-150. Going for simple, simple, simple.

Older 1bbl with manual choke.

DSII dizzy and control module.

Anything else?

How does the DSII box wire into the existing harness?

The tune up really helped throttle response but didn't seem to affect mpg. Still dancing around 20. Driving is a mix of back and forth to work and then driving out in the sage on wknds. Speedometer and odometer are accurate.

Re: 88 f-150 300 EFI,Fuel Pump Questions Need Help!!

Did the truck sit for a long time before you got it? That can cause a pump to freesze up. You need to see if there's power to the in tank pump. Only way i know to do that is drop the tank and unplug the connector at the sending unit that goes into the tank itself. If you can wiggle your hand up ther...

I agree, go through your machine shop. They are going to be doing all the work on the motor that determines which parts are needed. They will also be in a position to get exactly what you need at a fair price and be able to stand behind their choices.

The swap isn't all that difficult. Aside from the EFI wiring you'll need the motor mounts and perches from a truck with the small block, they were the same for 300-302-351. The ZF wasn't available back in 77 but you'll need the new linkage anyway. Rad's will need to swap, inlets are on opposite side...
