Just posting for info.....after testing my c/4 build i will say the Champ converters 2,000/2,200 custom converter stalls at 2,100 rpm and really wakes up off the line performance......the Transgo stage 2 reprogramming kit eliminates the between shift flair up and shifts fast and firm......other mods...

Vssman.......still running Progressive linkage....was at about 1/3 throttle till 3,000 rpm then went wide open......really pulls hard and never lets up.......working on a set of custom forged pistons with an updated nitrous ring pack.......plans are for a 105 or so HP shot ........plans are 100 MPH ...

Just tested the custom converter I had built by Champ converters In Evansville IN. After sending the Info on my build they asked for,.... Bob Steckler the owner called and said I would need a 2,000 to 2,200 stall speed.... they delivered with 2,100 stall ......the turnaround was 7 days and just over...

This is a pic my son sent me over a year ago.....of the engine in question.....I was unable to look at it because of time and distance...... he took it to a shade tree mechanic who tells him the oil galley feed the distributor is blocked.... not that familiar with the 300 but I know my 200 and 302 a...

First hit with 30 RWHP jetting netted excellent results. ......the shot hit hard and pulled strong....will be tuning for the 45 jets next ....I will eventually end up with a 60 or 75 HP tune.....

According to flow bench Data the ported large log continues to gain flow through .500 where it only gains 1 CFM at .600 on the intake and flows past .600 on the exhaust... the 1.6 will give right at .469 lift. .029 over the 1.5.... also previously asked I am currently running 12 initial and 36 degre...

Bobcat.....in the link about 1/2 way down is a pic of mine......also another member on the site lost an engine due to the double roller eating the slinger and the metal shavings made it to the bearings. Mine looked like it had clearance but pulled the cover just after break in to recheck cam timing ...

Bobcat like posted earlier the oil slinger was discontinued on later models and not needed due to better seal material(found out too late) plus I used one in my first build with the double row chain and although there looked to be adequate clearance the chain flexed just enough for the rivets to cat...

Good cam choice.....with the stick I would go with 110° lobe seperation.....I would be personally not go larger than an .040 oversize bore.....but I run mine pretty hard. If you have the cast rods I might look into the earlier forged rods...cast will work but the forged are a little stronger especia...

I run the comp 260 in my 200 tri power engine. As far as size goes it is a performance cam but a mild one and will work with a stock automatic transmission/converter or standard and works decent with my 3.20 gears. It has a slightly lope at idle but I still manage 14 inches of vacuum. Who ever this ...

the ARPs are a direct swap. both bolt shanks are 5/16"..... besides the standard rod resize the radius under the head needs a little relief.... a simple chamfer to the hole under the head fixes this.....this applies to all hi po rod bolts........

I have already spoken with a tech at Nitrous Express. ....will be going with a 75 hp shot on the C.I. headed 200 thats on the drawing board. Still alot of life left in the tri power motor though.

Like already said ...no need for the oil slinger... they were used when the seals were still made from leather. On Later models motors they were deleted.

the small increase in power from compression is way cancelled out by the small valves in the 144 head on a 200 cube engine. The increase would be at least a point in compression, 144 is 1.46 intake and 1.26 exhaust vs 1.75 intake and 1.38 exhaust for the 74 and up 200/250 also the 144 has the smalle...

That is a bolt with an attachment point for the oil pickup tube on the later rear sump engines. Fairmont/fox body mustangs. I would leave it alone.. always a risk changing main/rod bolts without resizeing or lineboring is what I have been told....if you can't pull the tube out drive it out from the ...
