Hi all, last time out i raced my wagon she ran a 11.05 1/8th mile and a 17.2 1/4 qtr, never had full throttle again, 1968 motor getting a little tired, its been retired for now. imaging v8 and have a 393 Cleveland stroker on hand.

As far as size of cam goes, i wouldn’t exceed the lift of the head.

here is a thought, 265 Hemi rod can be used with a little crank offset grinding, gives 275 cubes and good for 7200 apparently, must be true as i read it somewhere lol

Im sure 250 aussie crossflow rods are useable, if thats the case you can then buy spool or argo rods, I’m about to explore the same possibilities with my build for the supercharged motor, 250, custom forged pistons and aftermarket arp bolted rods. thanks mate, another motor mate told me on StalkBook that theres no way the vibration will be bolt related, if its in the hole and its done up to spec and I’ve been racing it with no dramas or throwing belts etc. Motor is a little heavy at front still so, a thermo fan might be the order of the day.

I found a few loose bolts today, engine mount, a few not so tight engine to gearbox bolts, tomorrow, it's on the back and jack her up and check under the mule. Balancer runs true to my eye Bubba

My Falcon worshop manual gives very little info on Balancers, doesn't talk about any differences. As you had written above, it says 55 foot pound for the earlier bolt but my book says 100 pound for the later 200. And who knows how many times it's been torqued up. All the Classic Inlines Arp bolts use a generic code applying only to Classic, yeah I'm not sure, I wanted to build a hotty 221 but parts and availability make the engine exotic now. I know I know I know, same place sent me the wrong chain, maybe he was thinking Holden Grey motor, so do you think I have a potential issue? Would the balancer bolt even though to the naked eye looked ok, went in straight and thread was easy to start be an issue?

Its a Powerbond one, was cross referenced by my motor guys shop before purchasing, its an OEM style, single rib, the bolt couldn’t be replaced, bolt hole is probably on the verge of being flogged out i reckon, this balancer does stick the 5mm further out, i got it torqued to 100 pounds. I put my balancer back on, it went on with the bolt nicely, as it tightened up I started thinking about torquing it up when I realised it had already gone back all the way and was just touching the front oil pan rail, what have I done wrong? It's a two rib pulley on a 200

ok cam is out, rotating the crank helped, has some numbers stamped into it, not sure what the stock numbers are, i would like to identify what they may be for interests sake as engine is a widely unknown rebuild at some stage.

No PCV as no provision for it, i did consider the metering block, and making mods to it or buying a modded one with spare air bleeds, another guy mentioned taking to it with a drill.
