how about the nissan or infinity q45. the bigger suv if you find one that needs work. they can be had for like 8k dollar range plus or minus and obviously same goes for the 4 runner 96 deal in the us. i think pre 76 for anything california emissions. but those extended scouts are cool.

The way the wiring diagram is with the relay, the coil is always on with the ignition switch "OFF". When you turn the ignition switch to "ON" it switches the module on, but turns off power to the coil. It can't run that way and the coil will get hot and drain your battery when t...

I was going to try a stock unit but my power band is supposedly up to 5500 rpm so I dont want to run a stock gm coil since they can loose power up to 4000 rpm and above. I will be trying the blaster ss coil 8207 MSD mounted off the engine. will get a go at it this weekend for sure.

well I did test out the 12v test light procedure. and it tested okay on the 4 pin module.... So maybe need a nother coil....the late model e coil. the reading on this blaster coil are 1.5ohm primary + to negative each on the sides of this blaster 2 coil which is supposed to read .07 ohm resistance. ...

I called pertronix and all they will recommend is the stock ignitor and ignitor two

they said their gm 4 pin flamethrower 3 will not work with six cylinder application

I do want to give the Hei another go as well but I think aftermark 4 pins must be the way to go since you can get msd units or pertronix with great support. Yes I did check that site I have a couple of the diagrams up. I try to go off of that this time around.

I'll also check the ds2 resistance I read on the tech archive troubleshooting it should be 800 to 900 ohm

I did get a nice slab of aluminum and drilled it on to mount it up and its properly ground.

as well put the heat transfer compound on the back of the module to mount.

I did have the W an G wires mixed so hope that get it to spark this time.....ill get some results this evening

Also its a msd blaster 2 coil...externally resisted so should I wire back in the .08 ohm resistor as well?

This is on the 200 ford in a 65 mustang.

have had this set up going last year ford a couple runs with a stock ds2. then middle of this year got the custom curved ds2 non adjustable vacuum advance. was using a bwd type 4 pin and tried to get it going back in june and was not able to get spark. just got a ac delco unit and a couple questions...

Ya those a not a easy thread either...I had to swap I n of these and removed one set and had a pipe twist and break of course so id recommend three days soaking in deep creep sea foam penetrating lube.

The one from the swap was a little bend too and took some time to thread...

Have the 69 250 was about to start some assembly on an barely noticed a chunk missing from bottom of number two cylinder bore just about bigger then a 50 cent piece off the bottom lip.....was due to damage from a stock 69 250 that experienced detonation from the big piston to deck clearance and stoc...

No west coast not down under. My transmission guy builds lots of trophy truck c4 transmissions that have completed Baja 1000 type races...its far from anything but class 8 stock type width Baja racing but I don't plan to do anything like that.
