Re: Any interest in a new dual carb intake?

Sorry about that, it was probably me. Flathead 6 is very different from the inline 6.

If there is interest in recasting the 2x1 Fenton intake and/or Fenton split exhaust manifold for the inline 6 (215, 223, or 262) shoot me a PM.

I'm getting the 58 ready for a car show in mid-February and will have the intake and exhaust mounted. Rebuilding a couple of glass-bowl 1904s now. Dual exhausts already in place. No judging for me at the show, but a "club display".

Re: Fenton Intake Manifold and rebuilding a couple of 1904s.

Part of my plan while rebuilding the 1904s was to plug the venturi vacuum ports then drill an opening into the throttle body above the throttle plate. This would be true ported vacuum the distributor needs to see. I could do one or both then epoxy a threaded SS fitting that a line could be attached ...

Fenton Intake Manifold and rebuilding a couple of 1904s.

While in the process of researching carb flow for the 1904s, I thought using 2 of the Falcon 144cu-in carbs (@130cfm each) would be a better choice than 2 used on the 223 (@170cfm each). The idea being that it would be better to be undercarbed at 260cfm than overcarbed at 340cfm. As I'll be limiting...

Re: T86 to T86/R10 swap - RESOLVED

Issue turned out to be 2-fold ... the reverse gear was installed backwards and so was the R-1 shift fork. The buzzing/vibration turned out to be the R gear just touching the idler below it. When in 2nd or 3rd it would contact a bit more and REALLY make a racket.

No damage and simple fix.
