The 150 psi compression seems very high for a cam with a 300 degree intake lobe duration and an 8:1 compression ratio which may indicate that the cam timing is way off. The cam card shows the LSA as 115 degrees which puts the intake lobe center at 111 degrees ATDC for a 4 degree advance. Where did ...

I checked for vacuum leaks and checked compression - no vacuum leaks and compression is 150psi. Quick update. Took the Mustang on its first test drive to the gas station and back :D It ran a little rich - need to do some real world tuning - that will be tomorrow. So far, so good :thumbup:

The car looks good in the corner. ( very little body roll). Did the 911 driver know he was chasing a little six. I know from experience Porsche drivers do not like to be pasted by a mustang much less a six cylinder. Nice job :thumbup:

You are planing on supplementing that 93 with a water meth kit? Most likely yes. I'm curious: The reason I went with 8-1 compression is because the fuel octane available is 93 - I didn't want to have to buy race gas. I always thought with a turbo you want a low compression engine, but after reading these last posts, could I have gone with a higher compression ratio and been ok? ...

Based on what was said, I would think so. Myself, I wouldn't hesitate to install one in an older hot rod like a Mustang or Maverick. If the car is already registered and titled, i've never had anyone ever ask me at the tag office if the engine is original or not, and most state don't do inspections...

As far as the sensors are concerned: Map and fuel pressure sensors are Holley specific. You can use stock Ford TPS and IAC sensors, they're easy to wire into the harness and they're readily available from a parts store. I believe the rest of the sensors Holley uses are GM parts (you'll have to do so...

On the '67 200 the carburetor and distributor must be used together. If you change one and not the other your going to have a hard time tuning the thing. There are a lot knowledgeable people on this site keep asking questions.

If you really want to replace the i6. How about 2.3 eco boost, 310hp. It would be different and reliable. It's available from ford as a crate motor. The down side its pricey $$$.

What oil pump are you using to get 60 psi? . I'm using a melding pump. The oil pressure will probably be a little lower once the engine has some miles on it. Will you coat the header pipes later? We got the engine as tuned as we can get on the engine stand. Runs well. Put the engine in the car and got the computer wired in- working on hooking up the turbo and all the rest of the wiring. I've neglected the car getting the engine running so now we're concentrating on getting the car back toget...

Sounds like a nice set up, have any pictures ? You need to be careful about the harmonic balancer if you go much bigger in diameter it will interfere with the water pump pulley. Are you using the same belt to run blower, alt, and water pump?
