The Accel coil will work fine. You will need a relay for a full 12V power for the coil.

Very nice piece of craftsmanship. You really need to upgrade to a later distributor to take advantage of the extra CFM air flow. Your 1/4" oil drive is the ???? Either bite the bullet on a DUI or ream the block to .517-.518" so you can use the 5/16" oil drive with an oil pump to match...

Get your machine shop to ream the distributor shaft bore to .517"-.518" so you can go with a DS1 or a DS11 distributor & convert your carb to a non SCV state as i previously mentioned. The only difference between the DS1 & The DS11 is the size of the cap, both use the same housing....

If you want to delete the SCV this is the time to convert it to ported vacuum. With ported you delete the venturi vacuum tube & plug the exit with a 6-32 brass set screw.

I have lots of vacuum. And when I take my Falcon on the Highway oil comes out of the oil dip stick . Could this be the same thing ? The PCV has no affect at WOT. If you had the DS11 distributor the MSD-6al is a great option.
Don't waste your money to add one to the HEI or DUI.
CZLN6 stated a recurve is the best thing you could do to your HEI.
If you did not purchase one from me your curve is out to lunch. could even damage your engine if over advanced. Bill

Gene, stick with the brown cam in the #1 position.
Install a 8.5 power valve.
Need to test what you have with a wideband A/F tester.
Also check fuel pump pressure & volume.
