X2, the flywheel bolts or flexplate bolts are exposed to oil from the rear main. They need to be sealed or you will be blessed with an oil leak from that area.

I would get a carb from a 69 250" engine. It will perform much better. Get you distributor set up for your engine. This would be the time to update to a DS11 distributor with matching components. Bill

Ryan, you need the driveshaft in it. If you still have a leak with the driveshaft installed, it could be a hardened seal or did they replace the tailshaft bushing. Check for excessive play with the front yoke in it.

Advance Auto Parts will rent you a pilot bushing puller. The end cost is N/C. You pay for the tool & get your money back upon return.
Alltrade also sells the same tool that Advance has.

Matthew, all the bushings are polyurethane. The bar was purchased new by me & used for 2 years. It would be a good upgrade & still maintain a decent ride.

That would work since it does not have the SCV. The 1101 or the YF have a larger venturi, but to save money just rebuild yours.
I can also rework a SCV carb & make it work with the DS11. Bill

Disconnect power source to distributor. Then crank engine with no ignition. Does it crank ok?? If so back off initial to 16-14.
