Advance Auto Parts will rent you a pilot bushing puller. The end cost is N/C. You pay for the tool & get your money back upon return.
Alltrade also sells the same tool that Advance has.

Matthew, all the bushings are polyurethane. The bar was purchased new by me & used for 2 years. It would be a good upgrade & still maintain a decent ride.

That would work since it does not have the SCV. The 1101 or the YF have a larger venturi, but to save money just rebuild yours.
I can also rework a SCV carb & make it work with the DS11. Bill

Disconnect power source to distributor. Then crank engine with no ignition. Does it crank ok?? If so back off initial to 16-14.
Take vehicle to Advance Auto parts or Autozone & have them run a test on your battery & check cranking amps.

The Comp cam is an antiquated profile. The Crower or Schneider would be even better. Make sure you install the correct valve springs for the cam you choose.

Looks like my old 1980 truck. I ordered the truck brand new & i made the mistake of getting the 302. No torque, a real dog.
The six is the only way to go unless you go with a big eight, but the fuel mileage will suffer.
