Both the MSD Box & HEI Module run on 12V. Allows a higher coil output.
Your DS11 distributor curve is a mystery. Yes the engine will run, but probably not to its peak potential. Bill

This what you need. It does require a full 12V via a relay.

You also need a coil with low primary resistance.
Also need your DS11 recurved for your application. Bill

Re: Rear main seal keeps tearing on bottom half

At this point i believe you could try a rope seal.
Otherwise i am taking a guess that whoever line bored the block removed too much from the rear main cap & it is smashing the seal into the crankshaft.
Last shot is replace the block & install another crankshaft.

Welcome aboard Alan. At one of our old dirt tracks, a 300 Ford Six either beat most of the Chevys or gave them a good run. They had that torque instantly out of the turns & had such a lead that held into the next turn. On the poor fuel mileage, check your A/F ratio. If thats ok then what are you...

No a choke pulloff opens the choke blade after initial starting to prevent the choke blade from over choking-richening.
Its a very important adjustment to prevent stalling on a cold start or over choking the engine.
Even the Holley 2bbls have a pulloff adjustment on the choke housing.

Dashpots were a common item in the 50's & 60's automatic combos.

I would just raise the curb idle speed in drive by 25-50 RPMS.

Check the stall speed of the converter. Hold your foot on the brake & floor the throttle. How high do the rpms go?? Gap the spark plugs @.045" Since you made the mistake of getting the DUI, part of your problem is the advance curve. You blew over $400.00 on a poor design & an advance cu...

On the headlight switch. A 69 Mustang has 4 headlights. See if that switch will fit your car. I believe the circuit breaker has a higher amp rating than a 2 headlight application. As you said you may have to hone the pedestals to be a slip fit on the new shaft.
If the rocker arms are loose, you will need new rocker arms. Go from there.
