Value of cam/high ratio rockers on a supercharged engine?

Hey there, folks! I've just about come to the end of external/bolt on things I can do to beef up my little 200. Currently, I'm running an m90 (12lbs or so of boost) blowing through a holley sniper TBI unit on an aussiespeed intake manifold/250 2v head. I've already got dual out headers from CI and a...

Re: Ak Miller's 200 six Turbo Kit

Draw through represents challenges that are not present with blow through. First of all, you can't intercool. Second, you need a turbo with positive carbon seals. Most turbos use a piston ring kind of deal to seal the shaft in both the compressor housing and the turbine housing, but engine vacuum ca...

The safest thing for a streetcar is 3 point belts with headrests. A harness, roll cage, and helmet all work in tandem to protect you in the event of a crash. If one of those are missing, there is no point to any of them. Without the helmet, you’ll give yourself traumatic brain injury From striking t...

Thanks for the great info! I had to read your reply a few times, and I'll probably mine it for more later. On the topic of fuel distribution -- I'm using the 250 2v head on my motor, does it see similar distribution problems, or is that just the log that causes issues?

Thanks, folks, I really appreciate the feedback. I did find a large Chevy water pump pulley that let me play with the ratios a bit more, so I'm now sitting at just under 9lbs of boost. Everything I've read has led me to believe that it isn't the boost the kills our motors, it's over revving. I have ...

Two swedged tubes up front connect to one of the thermostat housing bolts and from the opposite side of the alternator bolt. Are you checking a fitting that actually sees full vacuum or a ported vacuum fitting? In case you're unaware, a ported vacuum fitting won't provide ANY vacuum at idle (when you'd actually want your timing advanced by vacuum. This is an emissions control), but it does ramp up to full manifold vacuum ...

When I had a weber 32/36 on mine, I had the exact same air cleaner you did. I simply blocked off that hole with a large nut/bolt and washer. The only lines I used for vacuum were for the PCV and the vacuum advance, neither of which would go to the air cleaner.

Dual patterned I6 blocks appeared in 1966, so I don't see how a 3.03 could have possibly been bolted up to a 1965 block without an adapter plate or something, which we don't see in the pictures.. I'd just wait for another later block to come up.
