Lifter issues and thinking about new camshaft

So my buddy heard a ticking from the engine bay the other day. I asked him to take off the valve cover and see if he could move any of the rocker arms. There was significant play in one, so I am having him bring the thing over to the mechanic that works on it when I am not in the US to do it myself....

Re: t5 Transmission case possible rebuild

To be completely honest, you would be better off finding a t5 with all the internals. I rebuilt a t5 a while back and it was fun to learn and it’s fairly easy, but I a good rebuild kit runs $500 +-. A good rebuilt v8 t5 can run between $600-$900 depending on if its a 4cyl, 3.35 first, or 2.95 first ...

I use the duel out headers that classic inlines sold. Think they are the same ones you can get off eBay.
They fit, but you have to use the small starter and I have mine wrapped in a heat shield so it doesnt burn up.
It is a tight fit, but it works

The 2.95 first in the T5Z would work great with the 3.80 gears I have out back, but the price isn’t too far off with the TKO 600 with 2.87 1st gear. And .64 5th. I know the TKO is heavier and th...
