if your 63 is like my 61 there is panel all the way forward in the bed with about 15-20 bolts, the upper shocks are under there. be prepared to fight them, several of mine were stuck and no amount of using an impact driver would remove them.

With the 3.73 ratio and a 215 70 14 tire and the . 68 overdrive it should cruise at 2200 @70. But still have plenty of power. All while cruising in comfort and ac.
Weber 32/36 should allow for decent gas millage as well.

Got my bell housing adapter installed. I'm actually using a c6 bell from a bronco, cast iron. The recommended adapter from pony car worked flawlesslly. Didn't have to drill any extra holes just changed out the two bolts on the inside of the bell housing for socket head bolts and a little carful grin...

Check your wheel to wheel measurement. I think the stang is to wide. I used an explorer rear axle and narrowed it to use passenger axle shafts only a 1/2" total width wider. And you get disc brakes to boot, if you use a 95+ axle. 94_ is drum. This is for use in a 61 chero.

Counted both trannys. Both have 10 spline inputs and 28 spline out puts both setup as column shift cars. One has an alum extension housing, the other is iron/steel. The is enough parts to make one whole one but for a little more I can make both work. Still only buying one rebuild kit for one tranny....
