I have not rolled the lips due to getting ready to install new quarter panel's to fix rust. I don't need a massive tire, not do I want one. I just want a more muscle car looking tire then the pizza cutters that were factory.

As stated, I'm looking for what size tires people have fit in the rear on a 61 ranchero. Vehicle is mostly stock and being completely restored. Re: Spring Perch

Check your wheel to wheel measurement. I think the stang is to wide. I used an explorer rear axle and narrowed it to use passenger axle shafts only a 1/2" total width wider. And you get disc brakes to boot, if you use a 95+ axle. 94_ is drum. This is for use in a 61 chero.

What you have is called a 2.77 three speed. Non sycronized first gear. Which is unfortunate not very strong. Rebuild kits are available but you'll be doing it again and again. There is a reason ford swapped to a 3.03 three speed, synchronized first gear. Its stronger. The same configuration used beh...

Mechanically, upgrading to an altonator is extremally easy. two ways to do it, Oem method requires the changing your timing cover, down on the passenger side of the timing cover will be an extra boss to mount the alternator, if yours is still original it won't be there. you will also need the bracke...
