Re: Problem with the USMW water pump

:hmmm: I don't think that's normal, haven't ever had to enlarge a pulley hole to fit. Yes you need to fix that pulley alignment with that much misalignment the pulley wobble will knock out the water pumps front bearing quickly. Did you make the center hole big enough so that it will side onto the p...

Problem with the USMW water pump

Hi all,

I replaced the water pump with a new USMW water pump on my 1971 F250 w/ 240ci canadian. I had to enlarge the water pump pulley for it to fit on the water pump (is it usual??) and the belt just doesn't seem right!?!?

Re: 1971 F250 vacuum hose problem

Yes that's the bottom of manafolds connection (air is drawn into the tube). The hot air stove pipe is hooked up at the top of the manafold. Follow that round section of the exhaust manafold up to the top side were you will see another hole, this is where the hot air stove pipe will press into that ...

Re: 1971 F250 vacuum hose problem

The clean air connection is just a short piece of vacuum tubing that runs from the carb's nipple at the base of the air cleaner mounting down to the area of the exhaust manifold's hot air "stove pipe connection", it can be bought at most auto parts stores. It's perpose is to provide clean...
