Thanks, not sure what it was, but for sure in the carb. Soon as i switched it out with a known good one... all is good. Running great. Thanks

Although no thoughts were given, i thought it may be helpful for someone to know in the future, i swapped the carb out with another,and all is good. Thanks

I dont think this is normal.. 1965 mustang conv. Starts, idles, acellerates good. Temps run good. The odd thing i noticed is that when at operating temp, and probably worse on hotter days and alot of city driving, if i pop the hood and shake the car by grabbing the support bars and rock/shake the ca...

At my port on the manifold at 6-700 rpm it reads just under 20 and stable. This port was used when i had an auto trans, but is now capped off. But the vacuum line to the distributer is ran from the carb, right beside the spark control valve. My timing reads the same whether the line from the carb is...

Thanks yes in looking at it with my timing light, the car runs best overall with timing set at idle 600 rpm, best set at approx. 16 degrees.. this is estimate, due to the timing indicater bracket mounted on the block is only marked up to 14 degrees, then you are off the scale, guessing.
