Yes, I have enlarged the hole a tad and polished the spherical end and fork indent so there is no binding. Working on the bracket now out of 1/4" steel.

1 3/8 sounds about right. Rather than pass the rod through the lever and double nut it I like to weld two parallel tabs on the lever end and use a Heim end in double shear. This will prevent bind in the linkage and side loading on the slave cylinder and also make clutch adjustments much easier. One...

Your pictures above show a 164 tooth flywheel and a Diafram pressure plate so I think your covered for a quick release type clutch, so it should be fine for the Hydrolic slave. We're the gauges, real gauges back then? I know the temp gauge in the 80+ trucks are just an idiot light with a needle but i don't know when that started. Id check it with another gauge. Even just a cheap one from the local parts store. I was planning a Stewart Warner guage for the engine itself. AK

Yes - an alternate dipstick location. It should be noted that the forward oil pressure tap was made a blind hole to mount the knock sensor on the EFI engines. I have a mid 60's toploader 3 - speed and a '86 T-19 4 - speed. The shaft on the T-19 that comes out the front of the transmission is about 1/4" inch longer than the shaft of the three speed. Would that make the 3-speed unusable or is 1/4" not a big deal....

Does anyone have a schematic or diagram showing how the salve cylinder attaches to bracket. I have a bucket full of parts and it is like putting a puzzle together. I called Modern drive line and they are sending a braided steel flex line to attach from the Wilwood M/C to the OEM slave cylinder.

I struck gold today. Found a parked '86 pickup with complete running gear. Free turning 300 six, 4 speed hydraulic transmission. I bought the entire running gear except for the rear end. got all the accessories, And it is all there, every nut and bolt.

Ok yes if you can trade the 289 bell for a C5AA-6394-B bell it will work great! It's the same 6 bolt block mounting as your current 289 bell so its going to bolt right up to your 300 block.
