Re: Headers to starter clearence

Now I know you guys have added headers to your car. Can anyone tell me on my set up will I have starter issues. I have read post about that but not sure which header they were using. There was a reply to my post about using different starter but it is gone?

One question on the port divider divider, Should it be welded or screwed in or both .I have read many post that say don't use it due to the fact if it comes loose bad things happen . I'll sho...

Re: Drag link geomerty

I intend to use the car almost stock. Just putting all new bushings and ball joints. I plan on putting on headers and dual exhaust. It has an excellent paint job and I have completely redone the interior. I still have all the old parts if anyone needs anything. I may cut the springs to drop front en...

Re: Drag link geomerty

I looked at the pictures and cant tell much from them other that there is a bow. Don't know about you but if I start throwing 100 dollars at things that aren't a problem I may as well light a cigar with it. I guess i'll check the tow and if is really bent it should show up there. I have all new susp...

Re: Drag link geomerty

I understand that it should have a slight bow but this is more than slight. I can see where there are marks on the center link like some one took a bfh to get the slave cylinder off. I am going to redo complete stock suspension and don't want to start out wrong. Maybe it is to much to ask someone to...

Drag link geomerty

Does the center link on a 1966 mustang with power steering have a bow to the rear of the car or should it be straight. Right where the slave cylinder connects to center link it bows to the rear of the car. I don't know if it is bent there or made that way. If some one could measure from the the sway...

Headers to coat or not

Bought a set of headers for my 1966 mustang. They are made of t409 stainless . Has anyone run these without cermanic coating them? How well did they hold up. I hear t409 will rust without the coating. Any ideas from anyone running headers. Iknow the 200 doesn't get that hot as the big blocks. will I...

Re: conversion to front wheel disc on 1966 coupe

I am looking for the fruit jar master cylinder that was for the front disk and ream drum power brakes. I can't seem to find a stock one. If it was an option for 1966 to have power drums rear and disc front I would like to use that setup. My car was made after 3/1/66.I have found the fruit jar for 3/...

Re: universal joint

Inside lock rings with one inch cup at transmission. But I think at rear end the inch works for the drive shaft but the pinion yoke is larger " I think " . Surley someone have changed the u joints on these 50 year old cars. If your rear drive shaft joint is two different sizes like 1 inch ...

I understand that the splines are correct 28. But length of yoke was way to short compared to what I have and the ujoints are too small to fit end caps and distance between was too big. Re: slip yoke question

Thank you for that honest answer. I didn't have the slip yoke out and was pre ordering everything seals bushing and yoke. I really just read that the yoke was to fit a 1966 c4. They should say onof the web page it only fits v8.

I have a 1966 mustang 200ci with c4 transmission. I ordered a slip yoke through speedway motors. Said it would fit c4 transmission but it is no where near what I have. Not what I was wanting to hear. I like to do everything myself because I was poor when younger and now I guess it's a bad habit.
