Just to add something on this discussion 200s were available in 64 but only mated to an automatic transmission. It was a very rare option though not common to find this is an add from the 1964 booklet.

Yeah thanks for the info. I didn’t mean flood the bowl in the carb I meant there would be a rupture in the fuel pump diaphragm and it would pump fuel into the oil pan through fuel pump

If you could upload a video that’d be awesome help. If it’s not ignition then it could be a backup in the exhaust system or fuel delivery problem. But what you said about a bad plug wore could be true. At this point I’d start checking everything that has to due with the engine

I have no idea what that box is for maybe some kind of condenser idk. But I would not recommend running without one dramatically shortens life of the points. And yeah in my option those points look worn out. You can get them cheap from rockauto or if it were me I’d switch to a pertronix unit there q...

If that's the bolt I'm thinking of the one on the passenger side that the falcon handbook mentions that could be it but I don't see how tightening it to specs would cause a blockage of flow to the lifters and rockers.
