From my 68 mustang. Has the larger opening for the down pipe. It has surface rust over the whole thing but has worked with no issues. I put a header on instead. Shipping at buyers cost from Cincinnati 45230. Asking $40.

Piston Ring Gap

Freshly .030 overbore on a 68 200 block. I have .030 pistons and moly rings. What should my gaps be? The tech archive states the compression ring gap should be .015 +/- .005 and the oil ring gap should be .020 +/- .030. There's a pretty big difference, so I'm looking at the min/max range for each. My next question would be: where can I find a set of rings for these? They take the 1.5 and 4.0 ring sizes, and I would definitely want moly. Custom rings at one place I called cost more than the pistons.

Any leads or other places to call for moly rings? I would need .030 overbore.

The 270/270 cam would be a much better match for the ported head and having a lower DCR would give you more margin for tuning. Ethanol is harder on the older gaskets and seals, absorbs moister and is more prone to vapor lock. Ethanol Free gas has higher energy content and will yield better gas mile...
