Thanks for the info and advice frozenrabbit. Still debating the c4 due to all the mods required. I really don't want to modify the tranny tunnel to make something work. Also now looking at a t5 solution but that is $$$$. Chad, have the handbook and studied it for options as well as other forums but ...

1964 170ci/c4 combo words of wisdom

Hello All So was able to get a 170ci in decent shape with a Fordomatic 2 speed with shifting issues (until warmed up). Have an opportunity to get a C4 auto with floor shifter out of an early Mustang. I currently have a fully functioning 144ci with 3 speed on column 2.77 manual tranny which I am thin...

Re: What wheels and tires fit on a falcon!

Update.....so I bit the bullet and bought some American Racing 7x14 Outlaw II rims and some p205/70R14 tires to wrap on them. I really like the look and adds a lot of "bling" to the car. No rubbing issues so far but I have put 25lbs air in the Monroes in rear just to help. Hope this helps ...

Sure would be nice to know my donation went to the forum!!

Ok. So I donated $25 US to this forum and have not received any reply or acknowledgement for 3 months if this had been received or not. Very frustrating. Can there be an automation setup that allows for a receipt of some kind so that forum donators can know there money is going to the right place? T...

Good call on the freeze plugs....I should have caught that (read the performance handbook enough!). Guess I got excited as it was one that is not too far from me. The guy emailed me back and said the bell housing mates to a c4 but I will email him back and tell him what he actually has.

Thanks

Will this work for my 63 Falcon

Found this 200CI on kijiji here in Canada that sounds good to swap in place of my 144CI in my 63 Falcon. I have a spare auto column and brake pedal assembly to use to replace my 2.77 manual OTT. Waiting on some question responses from poster regarding tranny but do you think this would be a relative...

Where are you finding the 4 lug rims?? I have a set of 5" rims with P195/75R14 tires and want to have wider rims and tires on the back. The ones I have are off a 65 Rancher -4 lug.The widest I can go is a P205 on these rims which are original steelies with dogdish hubcaps which I like but I kno...

Re: Horn will not work

As long as you have the horn assemblies grounded to the chassis ground, you should be able to test that the actual horns work by taking 12v from battery to one of the horn terminals to see if they sound. Once you have determined that then you can trace back to your horn contact in the steering wheel...

Thanks for the info. I really am hoping just to keep my 65 Ranchero 5" rims with the widest and tallest tire to fit them. I like the original steelies and my dog dish hub caps fit them. That is the reason why I am asking if the p205/75r14s are the largest tire to fit these rims......or maybe th...

Hello All So thought I would provide on update on what I ended up doing to get the stance better on my Falcon.
