I love my cruiser! I'm not a truck guy, so it's a whole new thing for me... Especially with it being diesel.
I'm also on Mud, not as active on there, but really helpful community!

Looks great, can't watch the video at work for some reason (mil network).

Still thinking on what I'm going to do to mine to make it look like it was build with what i'm going to do to it.

Re: 1989 Toyota Land Cruiser LJ73

I believe you can import a vehicle over 25 years of age without too many problems. That is true, although California has a requirement that you have to pass their CARB to do so. So best bet is to get it to pass inspection and registered in another state for about 6 months - a year, then import to C...

Alan - none of the 8 pic came out on my screen in (is it?) post #21. Chad, Alan's posts #11 and #17, #11 has pictures of the Race Car itself on there and you can see the side drafts coming out of the side of the car. And #17 Has images of just the engine, out of the body. It's actually a pretty bea...

Re: Custom Forged Pistons

Don't assume that your block will make a .030" overbore. Have the machine shop clean and rough bore the block first before you order pistons. Some companies wont accept returns if you order the wrong size. The same goes for bearings as well, have the shop verify what size the journal's will ma...

Re: Custom Forged Pistons

Andrew Before you order pistons you need to know what compression ratio the engine will need. The cylinder head combustion chamber volume and the camshaft timing determines the best compression ratio so you need to know those things first. Thanks. cast or forged, that is always a question to be asked when building an engine. i say it depends on what you are doing with the engine. cast piston, especially quality ones, can take a substantial amount of abuse before they break. so ask yourself these questions; 1: are you going to run a lot of bo...
