Extrude Hone?

Has anyone tried Extrude Hone on the intake manifold/head of the small six? Just curious if that is a viable option. Thanks.

Off-brand carburetors...Any good?

Can't find an appropriate forum for this, but...Who has had experience with those off-brand, or no-brand carbs being offered on Ebay? What do you think of them? Thanks.

Re: Who has the Offenhauser 3x1 aluminum intake?

BTW, this is the first time I've ever messed with a Ford six. My other two projects have BBC's in them. And, I have managed to end up with two 200's - One is a '66 and the other is a '78. Just from eyeballing it, I think the '78 has a large log manifold. Can anyone confirm or refute that? Thanks aga...

Re: Who has the Offenhauser 3x1 aluminum intake?

OK...I'm not much of a typist, so I try to keep stuff short. The '56 is project #3 on my list of stuff to do. It needs pretty much everything, but is surprisingly rust-free. I would just like to get it on the road and eventually make it my daily driver. Don't have the money or ambition to restore it...

Re: Who has the Offenhauser 3x1 aluminum intake?

Sorry I didn't mention the engine size. I posted this in the small six section and assumed that would cover it. I am talking about a 200.

Re: Who has the Offenhauser 3x1 aluminum intake?

There is one for sale on ebay, and it appears to be aluminum. Is there an easy way to search old posts by topic? Obviously I'm new here.

Who has the Offenhauser 3x1 aluminum intake?

Couldn't find any posts about this. Does this thing work? Any problems installing or using? Thanks for any info.

Re: Newbie here

It is just a little 200, but it has been rebuilt, came with a transmission, and was reasonably priced. What I really want to get eventually is a 300. If you're a purist, please don't hate me...I am doing what I can afford to do.

Newbie here

Just joined the site. Recently picked up a rebuilt six that will be going into my '56 Ford wagon. And yes, I am old.
