2 pulley balancer

I've come across another step in my procharged build, I have a new OEM serpentine balancer but I want to run a second serpentine pulley on it to run my procharger on its own belt, I haven't had any luck finding a 6 rib serpentine pulley to bolt on to my balancer, seeing if anyone has a solution I ha...

Re: Flowmaster American Thunder Exhaust

I put efi manifolds with a walker y pipe on my 240 with a flowmaster super 44 series 2 1/2" all the way out, it's a dual out let muffler it's not overly loud I think it sounds really good at idle, I have a video of it idling but can't upload to this.

Re: Efi exhaust manifolds on a 240

I would probably look at a stock replacement if your wanting quieter, maybe get a muffler off a 90s pickup that has a fuel injected 300 in it, as far as re jetting it I would drive it an then check the plugs an see what they look like decide from there.

Re: Efi exhaust manifolds on a 240

I did the efi manifolds with the Walker y pipe and a flow master super 44 single in dual out muffler all in 2 1/2" really improved performance an sounded really good I thought.

Forged pistons

Figured I would do some searching around see who likes what company to get forged pistons for there 300, I've used mahle in the past with zero complaints but they've always been BBC applications.

Re: Polished intake

You must be talking about timing marks? I kept them thinking I was going to need them but after my balancer showed up not sure I will. I agree on a flat smooth surface would look better.

Re: How to deal with AIR injection ports in head?

The only thing I would advise different than what I did would to turn down the top of the bolt head more to clear the valve cover more it will sit very close to it in stock height.

Waiting for my engine to get back so decided if it's aluminum it's getting polished. Fuel pump block off plate, intake manifold heater plate which not sure if will be needed and a slightly modified timing gear cover.

For a distributor the current one I have is the original 240 that I put a pertronix ignitor kit in, I am able to wire that in to a msd so is there a reason I will need to switch to a ds2 or will my current one work?

When I get body's stripped my go to way is acid dipping but the vehicle has to be 100% disassembled cleans everything perfectly, the next way I really like is dustless blasting uses crushed glass and water with a rust inhibitor in the water so it won't flash rust this way of blasting is by far the b...

Re: Pro charged 300

As far as boost levels go and correct me if I'm wrong once I get the pulley sizes correct why couldn't I put a blow off valve on it to control the boost in the higher rpms so I could get full boost down low be able to maintain it threw the RPM range.

Re: Pro charged 300

The Holley sniper efi with the ds2 sounds like what I'll end up doing, will be able to keep the wiring to a minimum that way, as far as rpm to boost levels will go 10 pounds is the initial goal, I'm hoping that it will peak power around 4500-5000 just so I don't have to wrap it to the moon to get po...

Re: How to deal with AIR injection ports in head?

I'm guessing that the air injection ports are what I've been calling smog ports, if so this is what I did. It's just a 1/2-20 socket head bolt I turned down, not everyone has access to a lathe but if you do this way creates a double seal if done correctly, I choose to get a bolt long enough to stick...

Re: Pro charged 300

I like the idea of a pro charger to have instant power as opposed to spooling a turbo, will be harder on components but I can live with that, also not goin to get greedy with boost.Being a belt driven accessory drive style mounted on the front of the motor should make for a relatively easy and sanit...

Re: Polished intake

It's quite a bit of work, I bought one of those kits from harbor freight it's a good start but you'll need to sand it at least down to 1500 grit then start your polishing, I use zephyr pads on a bench polisher start with brown polishing rouge ending in white roguethen do a finish polish with flitz.

Re: Polished intake

Taken quite a bit of sanding started with 80grit stepped up 100 grit at a time ended with 1500 then bought some buffing bonnets at harbor freight to do the hard to get spots because the sharp edges on the flanges tore em up, I use red polishing rogue an finish off with white. I've heard good things ...
