The new radiator. The old one was a 18 1/4 by 18 1/4. 1 core. This one 19 1/2 by nearly 26 3 core. Problem solved.

When you put the spacer ring back on the camshaft be sure the beveled edge on the inside diameter of the ring is facing the cam and the flat side is up against the cam gear. What valves do you have in the head? Stock sized valves, I didn't see needing to go any bigger for the rpm range I am wanting...

I used the valve springs Schneider sent me as per their instruction. If they do warranty the cam I will likely use break in oil for the next one unless Schneider recommends against it, I doubt they would though.

Yeah, I'm confused. First you said exhaust at .105", then .050", then ICL. I'd remeasure it all a few times to be sure. I worded it poorly. At the mark where the intake should be at .050 lift it is at .105 lift. I took half a day off tomorrow to deal with this. We should have solid answer...

At the same spot the #1 ext is at .105 lift. At .050 on the down side of the ext lobe the timing marks show 2 atdc.

Edit: I checked it coming from both sides of the lobe, aka rolling backwards up to .050 and going all the way over the lobe to .050 and got the same thing.

I am still running the 1.73 stamped rocker, although I did dig out the stockers. It will be easy enough to swap the stock rockers onto it. I also figure if I do come to yanking the cam back out I will at least recheck the degree on it first to verify I didn't make a mistake the first time.

Warm operation is actually dramatically better than cold, no where near good enough to idle along with a load.

Well I got it together, the cam ran in, and had a chance to play with it a little and do some tuning. I can say if I'm hotrodding it the thing runs great but the driving manners at below 1100 rpm are terrible. Not sure yet what my next move is. What are the drive ability issues? Review There is one group of Hypereutectic pistons that are advertised at 22cc dish volume. They should be checked for accuracy once you get them. The few other possibilities have either way too little or to much volume. The compression ratio should limited to 9:1 for 87 octane gas with the Schneid...

Another issue with using stock style stamped steel rockers for valve lifts over .500" is that the slots can't allow the rockers to pivot that much without binding against the rocker studs. Even in high performance versions of Big Block Chevy's, GM had to make special long slot stamped steel ro...
