Re: My build and soon to come Dyno

Thank you for all the info on the power steering pump , when the C2 blows I will check out rebuilding it or replacing it with the GM one as the bracket does not fit it.

Re: My build and soon to come Dyno

I had the black pump on my E150 5.0 when I pulled the motor, it was kind of like a triangle, reminded me of a GM pump. When I lined it up to the holes on the aluminum bracket it did not line up to the three holes on there , so I had to use the see-through one with the fill neck

Re: My build and soon to come Dyno

Sorry guys but my Dyno has been called off, just not going to have enough miles on the fresh rebuild to feel comfortable enough to have a beat on . I'll Circle back around when I get some good miles on her to schedule another dyno

Re: My build and soon to come Dyno

The elbow is from intake hoses. Com. It's for Turbo applications but I bought it for my throttle body, it's very heavy duty and it's called a cobra head. I didn't know about the power steering pump and I could only use the bracket that was on my 1996 parts truck

Re: My build and soon to come Dyno

That was just pictures before the project was done, I put the filter on it too avoid getting a duster dirt down the throttle body. The intake goes out by the fender

Re: Anyone here successfully running an aftermarket EFI System, Megasquirt, Holley Hp, Sniper, Atomic, FITech?

I like that fitech and Summit Racing have a one year warranty on their EFI systems on like Holley sniper and their 90 day warranty. Fitech had a bunch of negative reviews due to their customer service so I opted for the Summit Racing system made by fitech but customer service by Summit Racing and th...

Re: Anyone here successfully running an aftermarket EFI System, Megasquirt, Holley Hp, Sniper, Atomic, FITech?

I like it, I like that the computer is not built into the throttle body so can be replaced. It does not have timing control which I don't mind using my vacuum advanced. It has your basic tuning controls but I figured the less features the less problems. For $100 I can buy the computer and for anothe...

Re: Not many new posts on here any more.

I'm a new user as well and have just used the form to do my 300 build. I would like to post a new thread on my build with photos and answer any questions people may have but I can't figure out how to put a new post on my build. It's a 1991 Econoline made into a flatbed pickup truck with a sleeper an...

Re: Timing quandry

No I'm just disconnecting the vacuum advance while timing, it will be reconnected after timing is done. Currently I have it's set at 10 degrees before top dead center. But how do you check to see if it goes up to 36 degrees at 3000rpms? My timing marker only goes up to 20 degrees?

Re: Timing quandry

I am looking for timing advice as well, I have a 1982 Ford 300 with the original head, Offenhauser intake, Hedeman headers, Summit Racing EFI 500, 252 Comp Cam. I'm also using a 1996 harmonic balancer and it seems that the timing mark is correct as it is running on zero and checked for top dead cent...
