it seems that a T4 tranny would be a good possibility for autox racing since it probably weighs less and we wont be going into over drive on an autox course

i say go with an intercooler because every degree you drop on the incoming air temp is more horsepower which means more speed

IIRC there was a 4main 200 for a few years you could possibly steal the internals and head from one of those and stick em in your 144 to make it a 200

yea i noticed their manual brake conversions thats what got me thinking. i guess ill try the vacuum booster for awhile and if i dont like it ill convert to manual or maybe ill get a powersteering pump and master cylinder from a 4.6l mustang and convert to hydroboost brakes. also if the powersteering...

yea the fox k-member wont have the revised suspension points that is why ill be going with the tubular one and since im already modifying it a little im gonna modify it to sit the engine as far back as possible which will balance the weight better

if its running hotter at idle i would look into a fan that pulls more air. it sounds like your fan isnt pulling enough air through the radiator which is why it cools better when your moving. i would look into a fixed blade fan that has blades that are more angled or maybe a flex fan.

well what is the temp currently running at? also what angle are the blades on the fan at because i know the stock fan on my old 66 was almost flat and i put a flex fan on it and it pulled easily 10x's more air through the radiator than the stock fan did also have you thought about ditching the belt ...

you would need 3 adapters one for each of the carb openings because all 3 openings are 1brl openings. also yes there are aircleaners for 3 2brl carbs but they are more for the mopar 6pack setup which have the carbs very close together and i dont know if the spacing would be the same or not and i bel...

Why can't he get it inspected? Ohio has rules for Kit cars or DIY built cars. If the drivetrain is from a 66 Mustang it will have to pass the emission laws required for a 66 mustang. well the thing with rings seating is it can take anywhere from 2-3 seconds to several minutes for the rings to seat but you should be able to tell a difference once they do cause itll "perk-up" cause of the added compression

yea i am agreeing with everyone here with your timing being off and trust me it can be annoying but after awhile you get darn good at it ive gotten good enough i was able to get a distirbutor in and timed correctly and have it start up the first time(almost everytime i had to do it) on the T-buckets...

that sounds like a blown head gasket to me the only other thing i can tell you is check the dipstick for white froth. and the headgasket isnt that incredibly had to change if you have the right tools

i would use a 350CFM Holley 2brl and are you planning on a blow through or draw through setup on the SC cause if you wanna do a draw through setup you will need different gaskets on the SC.
