Is there an original thread somewhere ?

People need to keep ALL of the info on ONE thread so we know what has been done . Common sense :)

Wish I could help but I shouldn't have to go searching for other threads on a separate follow up thread.

The 68 Mustang/Fairlane service manual stops where that poster from the other thread posted.

I was in your position regarding my 1978 ford truck back in 1985. The repairs came within $400.00 of them writing it off. I too was the VICTIM. My truck was immaculate and it showed plus, I had several recent photos to show the adjuster. He wasn't the best. Because I was in the classic car populatio...

around these parts and other jurisdictions having 4 lights on is illegal (except for at night while needing them then dimming them for approaching traffic)

I was hoping you would check the law in your area ;)

Over time electrical contacts corrode. I recommend removing the cluster and cleaning everything up back there. Here are corroded contacts from a Ford truck that the cluster lights wouldn't light up http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i75/mil1ion/67-79%20Ford%20Truck%20Information/Electrical%20and%20Wi...

It's against the law for one thing.

Why not go to the relay upgrade and get another 20-25% more light ?

or put in Bosch Lights with 100 watt H4's and get 75% more light LEGALLY ?

No I am not a spelling Nazi but a common mis-spelled word is: LOSE Loose - Opposite of Tight Lose - to not retain anymore, to not win. Vacuum loss can be attributed to bad/leaky connections. A vacuum hose end that stays bulged after removal or is hard should be cut off or replaced. Vacuum loss ? Eve...

Until about next Friday, I only go back to the 1965 Falcon for this topic.

IMO, they should be about the same locations.

What body style do you have ?

How many fasteners came with each molding ?

To repolarize (or excite) the field windings of a generator, take a small jumper lead, connect one end to the "a" (armature terminal) and hold the other end on the "b" (battery) teminal for about two seconds. This will restore the magnetism and establish the correct magnetic direction.

Emissions Diagrams- Vacuum Hose routings

are available from me by request for trucks and cars from 1973 to 1986. I will need the Calibration code from your engine for accurate diagrams. They were usually on a white sticker located on the valve cover, hood or rad support . http://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i75/mil1ion/67-79%20Ford%20Truck%20...
