This is where the difference of opinion comes in. With 24 degrees of adavnce at 3000 RPMs, which makes the total adance 36, my mechanic thinks that pushing it any further is a recipe for disaster. What intial advance did you set your Dizzys at?

The instructions call for 12 degrees and there has been some debate between my mechanic and myself on this one.

I've got a T-5 with a 3:00 rearend

5th gear 65 is 2200 and 75 is about 2350

4th gear would be a 1:1 ratio and 65 is about 2900

The 4 Cyl T-5 Works great!! Mine is out of a 93 4 cyl Mustang. Make sure you put one of those Pro 5.0 shifters on it. The positve stops will really make a difference when shifting from 1st to 2nd. Some of the earlier T-5 have a habit of grinding a little if they aren't shifted perfectly. Michael

You would be making a mistake by not getting one. Of course, this is my opinion. I have the DUI on my Stang and couldn't believe the improvements I've experienced. Much smoother idle, increased HP (13 to be exact), quicker throttle response, plus it looks great!!!! Michael

Mike, From the Cylinder head to shock tower there is 8 1/2 inches clearance. My Holley adapter plate is 1/2" Clearance from the flange on the carb is 3 1/8" to the hood. I even had to polish the ribs on my carb hat to keep the edges from rubbing. If you add 1 inch to the manifold you will have 2 1/2...

WSA111.....You really are sold on that 500, huh? I've only had the 350 for about 8 months or so. It's really hard to justify another carb. CZLN6.....You can ask all the questions you want, don't mind a bit..

The cam is set at 3 degrees

There was no change in C/R between head swaps as far as I'm aware.

Mugsy.....You said in two sentences what took me 45 minutes to write. You can't understand how smooth it is till you have one on your ride. It also seems that the higher the RPM's are the smoother the engine revs. Just my opinion....

By the way....Those who wanted to know about the time. It was set a 12 degrees. We are thinking that it might go up to 14, but it runs so well where it is, I don't want to mess with it right now.

CZLN6......The H/W was mounted with an adapter from Stovebolt.

I'm thinking that there may some more HP in my Aussie Head and may require swaping my 350 for a 500 CFM Holley. Time will tell.

WSA111..... The test in July 05 was with the C-4. There is about a 17% difference between the two dynos. I assume part of it is due to the T-5 tranferring more power to the rear wheels vs. going thru a torque convertor. I had the Holley 350 last summer also. The X factor was definitly due to the pow...

I didn't write down any other numbers. The place that I use always has printer issues. I think out of 5 dynos only once was their printer working. The good side is that they are cheap, FREE!!! Well, I had the opportunity to test out the new D.U.I. Dizzy and let me say I am amazed at the change in performance. First, It looks sharp. It will catch many an eye when you raise your hood. I agree with rbohm. I've got the 4 cyl T-5 in my 66 Stang with a .81 overdrive. First, takes off quick and seems to work well with my Six. I don't kick into 5th till about 60 or so. My RPMs drop down to about 2100 and I'm running a 3.00 rearend. I wouldn't do a .68 overdrive, just my opinion unless ...

I just finished my T-5 Swap. I went from a C4 to a T5 and couldn't be more pleased. It really is neat to be cruising at 75 and only doing about 2100 RPMs on the tach. It wasn't cheap, but well worth it.

Mine is bored .60 over without any issues. Personally I wouldn't go any higher. I've heard of .80 over kits for sale, but I think you would have some cooling issues.

I just did a disc conversion on my 66 Stang. SSBC's kit is more expensive than some of the others but their kit has 100% of what you need. They really have to act together. Just FYI for anyone that is looking to do a swap.
