I'd (personally) put a tq wrench onem after a few cycles. The metal's gunna do its thing under that heat (head or header). Sez crush is 50% dwn to 1/16 frm an eighth. Wont burn out. Tolerates 3000*. I'm still behind them (esp now I C they R 1/2 the cost I thought). "No re-tq needed" "...

Y not make 1 at school? Side note : make sure U measure piston to head clearance (on paper or otherwise) if decking the block. I'm not familiar w/tolerences there on a 144/2.36. I like the way U think, tho. Up grade ign & cam, may B (if still 1v) a vedub H30 Solex? ck these articles for pointers...
