Also,Cali,if your bell is for a SBF with a low mounted starter,It's not going to fit that high mounted 200 block.I think.
But,I think for a few years before production ended,they might have made low starter 200 blocks,can't remember.

And on the speedometer,on the drive going into the trans. is a plastic gear,comes off with a C-clip they are fairly cheap and come in different colors(whee).
and remember,the guys with the radar guns have to have a liscence for it...

Cali,if the "release bearing is for a toploader, it won't work. ID on t5 is 1 1/16 I think.won't go with 1" toploader T.O.

On ford starters,I;m using a FE stater.If it has 5 ribs on the nose cone,it's a hi- torque starter.You can use a 3 hole on a 2 hole application.The difference is in the starter drive gear.And they are cheaper than a whole starter. I know that 42 will handle 300 hp behind a 300.Beyond that you might want to source a top loader from behind a 427.BIG input/output shaft.I know it'll hold 1200 hp.

If you're REALLY lucky,there is a reverse star washer with little fingers towards the shaft keeping the shaft in.But it's a crap shoot usually.
I put it back on when I find one,it helps later I find,since I'm always piddling with something.

I think you just killed that family of field mice living in your can muffler.How far/fast could you sprint if your nose and mouth were plugged?Cut the can off,visually look for a kink in what's left.

Also,you do know that some trucks were farm trucks and were geared to pull start farm equipment and not go to church back then.

I highly recommend using comp cams viton valve seals.#520-16.If you are mechanicly inclined,you can do it yourself by using
C.C. cutter and a slow drill.

The guys building FIFI's(B-29 engines tell me Rotella T has the highest amount of zinc in the US.

Lowes carries KD Tools compressor #2078 which means you wont have to pull the head,pull the plug find TDC on that piston. then,go a little past that,feed some cotton rope into the cylinder.bring it back to TDC.this puts pressure on the valve a...
