Went back to brazing after experimenting with high nickel and Mig.
Machinists(2) wouldn't touch them.I even offered to buy them a bit/tool.
had to finish them off with my little grinder and file..

Grandbabymama's 73 Mav with 250,auto,3.00 ratio got better driveablity.Wish I could help you on mileage question,but she only knows floored and off pedal.

So,what are you calling min.?30# 15#? And how old is the build?
Had a 144 run for a year with rod knock and 50w oil,before I tore into it.
Check gauge and line for air first.

I replaced an oil pump I didn't have to because of a China gauge.

Get some needle nose and bend it to fit what you want it to do.
Mine has had 14+ heads on it,and return springs are on the end of the log.Forgot what "tin" looks like.

Link doesn't work. I put a nv 3550 in a 71 highboy,FE.It blew a 6"hole in the case doing 50 mph on level road. Replaced with a nv 5500.Works great,gets better mileage,plays in the dirt well .Seems like it'll handle the torque. maybe a 250 won't blow it up.Maybe the divorced transfer is the diff...

Also,Cali,if your bell is for a SBF with a low mounted starter,It's not going to fit that high mounted 200 block.I think.
But,I think for a few years before production ended,they might have made low starter 200 blocks,can't remember.

And on the speedometer,on the drive going into the trans. is a plastic gear,comes off with a C-clip they are fairly cheap and come in different colors(whee).

Cali,if the "release bearing is for a toploader, it won't work. ID on t5 is 1 1/16 I think.won't go with 1" toploader T.O.

On ford starters,I;m using a FE stater.If it has 5 ribs on the nose cone,it's a hi- torque starter.You can use a 3 hole on a 2 hole application.The difference is in the starter drive gear.And they are cheaper than a whole starter. I know that 42 will handle 300 hp behind a 300.Beyond that you might want to source a top loader from behind a 427.BIG input/output shaft.I know it'll hold 1200 hp.
