Many Mustangs were built in the early part of 1964 some people call them a 1964 1/2, but they were all 1965 models. The first Mustang Fastbacks were built in September of 1964 roughly 6 months after the sales debut of the Mustang Coupes and Convertibles. Good luck :nod:

Many base model six's didn't have a sway bar, when they did X2 stock they were a 5/8 inch one. A 3/4 inch front and a 1/2 to 5/8 inch rear would probally also work very well togeather. Good luck :nod:

:hmmm: You might also pull the cam thrust retainer plate to check if it has gotten damaged by not having the spacer ring in place. If it's scared up very much it will need to be replaced or if it's not to bad it maybe able to have a light resurface. Good luck :nod:

There were two carb base bolt spacing's used over the years 1965 to 1986 on the 240 & 300 intakes, the early intakes had a narrower mount spacing then the later models, and that is the reason. Check the casting / design numbers on the intake to give you an idea of the year model of its manufactu...

Reasons Ford might have changed the parts design were to improve its strength, for speed of assembly of parts, or probably the biggest reason to reduce per unit costs. They are very good transmissions tuff enough for truck use, they are upgradeable too the same as a C4. Most Ford auto transmissions have the ID tag mounted on the passenger side on the servo. Good luck :nod:

I usally run a auxiliary trans cooler in series with the stock radiators cooler. This is as long as the stock cooler is still functioning correctly i.e. It's not leaking the radiators coolant into the trans lines. Good luck :nod:

I gave up on rebuilt water pumps quite a few years ago quality just isn't there anymore. Besides you can get a new GMB water pump very reasonable probably for less than rebuilt's cost and they are even made of Aluminum for a little less weight too. No clutch fans were ever used on a stock on a 240, that I know of. In a straight comparison of a standard fixed fan versus a clutch fan yes it dose matter. Thanks for the info but as for a 200 swap would it be easier to just bore it to a 200. I know the first 200s used 4 mains and then I get oversize piston and rings and slap a 200 head on it. I guess at that point I might as well just get a 200 but I want to save all my pennies and if my 170 can run ...

Yes there is great parts interchangeability with the C4's. Have you already made a positive ID that your 1967 F100 actually has a C4 trans?
