Re: 2+2 Sixes how rare?

there was one floating around here in Phoenix about 3-4 years ago.
it was silver and for sale for around $3,000 +.
I tried to contact the seller whom I assumed live in the house where the Mustang was parked.
But, alas, it dispeared suddenly.
Someone got a nice buy as it was immaculate.

water pump snouts were longer as these engines were in longer engine bays
just use shorter pumps from earlier years if there is any clearance issues
mustangs had longer engine bays than falcons and early comets also
there are aftermarket pumps with more impellers

The 63 and earlier boxes have a longer shaft than a 64 or 65 by about 1 inch.
This places the wheel closer to the driver which was deemed uncomfortable, hence the shortening.

Stock tires on a 14" rim with 4.5" backspacing will rub on the tips of the A-frames.
This is the main area where rubbing occurs.
Going to a 60 or 65 series will solve the problem with the fender lips up front depending on the size.
Most people go with a 215 x 60 or 215 x 65.
