Re: AX15 in a Bronco with a I6

Yes those are valid considerations. After my NV3550 was all in I started adding up what it cost and it was kind of expensive. The fact that the M50 did not require the adapter to the block was attractive to me after the fact as I could have saved money on that part. You will enjoy that five speed dr...

Re: AX15 in a Bronco with a I6

I remember that. The AA kit is easier with a v8 but with a six the Clutch/Driveshaft length/Trans mount were a challenge. AA fixed me up with the clutch parts right away and the trans mount got modified. And of course the drive lines got worked on. But what a great improvement! Was the M50D ever a c...

Looking for a decent running 200 is a good plan. You can still find them also check picnpul and craigslist just have to keep looking. 4900 to rebuild a six to stock specs I assume is way to high. That Mustang will be a good runner with 200 / T5. There is a guy giving away a rebuildable 200 in this p...

You might get lucky and find a good running 200. Check picnpul periodically, car-part.com and craigslist. I put an ad on CL once seeking a 250 and within a couple of days got a call and ended up buying it. A low mileage 250 with new valve job. You can keep the 170 if you ever decide to go back stock...

That is a great looking Bronco. As stated check the block and head casting numbers just to know what you have. They are all similar but you could have a non original component. I think my 66 had a slightly later head. Do you plan to keep it 100% original?

This is interesting because if you have fairly good fabrication skills you can get rid of the log and mount a high flow plenum. Submarine cut.

There is a company called FlowKooler? I think. They used to list part numbers for high flow water pumps for the 144/170/200. But that shroud with the ac mechanical fan would be a good way to go. Your radiator might need a visit to a good radiator shop for cleaning out.
