Well when I bought my 1960 falcon it was sitting beside a 1964 comet.I chose to buy the falcon.I just liked the looks of the round body car.If I had it to do again I would buy them both.The 1964 and later falcon and comets are nice looking too.

It`s my experience that any falcon is hard to find used parts for.If you find what you need it is thousands of miles away.Heavy items are impossible to find because no one will ship,costs to much.

People are starting to post there.I just registered.It is fast,easy and free.It will be a great addition to our other falcon sites.Justins ford falcon swap meet now deletes any posts for car parts older than 1966,so we can use another new place to find 1960-63 parts.Lets all make it work.See ya there

Think you will have to alter firewall to use later transmission.There was no V8 option in 60-61 so the trans tunnel is very small.All that will fit is a 2.77 three speed or fordomatic.All other bellhousings will be to big to fit.I have a 1960,same problem.

AHH ,The wonderful world of falcons.Every year is different and nothing interchanges.I found out the expensive way while restoring my 1960.It now has a 1966 170 with 3 carbs.Good luck.

My father had a 1984 F150 with 300 6cyl and 4 speed overdrive.It shook when you let out on clutch from the day he got it until it was wrecked.We tried replacing everything we could think of and nothing helped.That was back in 1989-93 so truck wasn`t that old.Good luck.

I would Put the 67 9" in.You can make up the small difference with backspacing on wheels.However, I suppose the currie is the way to go if you have plenty of money .

Sorry guy ,I used wrong term to describe what it is doing.It is shifting real hard ,like idle is set way high.There is no banging sound.Idle is set as low as engine will run.

.On a unibody the floor is the strength, when it is gone suspension goes with it,big expense.Cars with full frame just need floor to keep your feet from getting wet,no strength needed.However most cars are unibody so full frame choices are very limited.

I just installed a 1964 fordomatic in my falcon.When it shifts into high its like putting brakes on and tries to stall engine.I Can put throttle to floor and car will not go over 25 mph.Any ideas?
