Just wondering if you have looked for vaccum leaks? Had the same problem with mine for a while and turned out to be a crack in the carb to intake gasket. Squirt all your connections with carb cleaner while the car is running and see if your idle speeds change. If they do, you found the leak.

Originally had a 3 speed, but currently running a c-4 with overdrive out of an 83 cougar. I don't believe my current carb has any anti-stall? (I really don't know what that is.)

carb limits

Running a 200 with a stock carb. Engine is rebuilt and camed up, and I am wondering about carb limits. I have the stock intake and manifold and want to increase my carb size? What are my limits? Problems, or concerns?

I have found in having mine out 6 different times over the last fourteen years that it is much easier to pull motor and trans together. I have it down to about 45 min to pull both and then you can work with tranmission issues, motor issues all at once. It does require that you pull the raidator and ...

I am presently still running points and have been looking into ther ingnition possibilities. I am running oversized pistons and bigger cam. Is this the type of ignition system I should be looking at?

Ignition systems are new territory for me so any suggestions would help.

stalling when opening throttle!

I have a Holley 1bbl on a 200 and have recently just got it running after setting for 3 years. I have replaced the gas tank and sending unit as well. Also took a part and cleaned the carb as well as the fuel pump. Engine is wanting to stall when opening the throttle. Only achieves higher revs after ...

bosch + 4 plugs

I was just wondering if any one has used the bosch + 4 plugs and what kind of results (if any) you were getting?

Dash, Pillar covering

Just saw an article in Mustang Monthly where they were covering the front pillars with headliner material. I was thinking of taking this one step further and covering the dash and possibly doors as well. Has anyone done this, or possibly attempted with other materials to make a more modern looking i...

Might look into a simple starter switch from MSD. This is what we use for late model raceing. It is a two position switch. One for start up, and one in the run position.

For what its worth.
