The '74 would hit 100 without to much problem as long as the engine wasn't low on oil. I do believe it hit 105 once or twice though.

Well, my uncle has a 300 powered truck that I can snag the flywheel from, but I was wondering, could I be able to use the 4 speed manual transmissionfrom the truck also? Or would that not work? What do you guys think?

Auto to standard swap

I've been messing with the idea of swapping out the C-4 out of my Maverick and replacing it with a manual transmission. What kind of standard transmissions will bolt up to a 250 and what will I all need to do such a swap? Any help will be appreciated.
