Re: Any interest in a new dual carb intake?

John, i'm not entirely sure what the differences may be between the 223 and the 226. If they have a 100% interchange potential, then yes, I can use the intake and exhaust manifold you have for dimensioning purposes. The intake and the exhaust I have are from an TRUCK - INLINE FLATHEAD SIX CYLINDER ...

Re: Any interest in a new dual carb intake?

Hi John, its still only on the drawing board because the original person that was sending me an intake to pull dimensions from never followed through with his end of the bargain. So I am needing a stock intake and now since a dual exhaust header has come into the mix, one of those also so I can mov...

Re: Any interest in a new dual carb intake?

Just curious if there would be any interest in a newly designed dual carb intake and possibly other performance goodies for the Flathead 226 and 254 engines? The reason I ask is because I have a guy on another forum that is serious for me to design and make patterns to cast a new dual carb intake, ...

Hello...we have a "49" club coupe inline 6-226, would you have the intake/exhaust manifolds as well as the carb?

Re: 226 six

Looks good. We have a 226 in our 49 coupe. I was wondering if we could put the head on a milling machine and cut grooves...spaced to look like fins? have see the old school alum heads, nice but, very costly...just a thought I have been kicking around. Do you have figure it cost to go thru the machin...

Re: 226 Intake / Exhaust

Thanks for all input. I like the idea of two carb set up
Have been in discussion with Reds
They are also going to add the intake using a flange from Victory and there header. Should make for a cool set up

Re: 226 Intake / Exhaust

Here is where I'm having a problem...mind you, nothing to back it up but, your OHV six should allow more intake and exhaust consideration than my small six? Yes -No? If yes, then buy using the 2-1 barrels, can I reduce the amount of air and fuel, say divide by 2 now? Each 1 barrel would be running.....

226 Intake / Exhaust

We have a 49 Ford 226 Inline Six Flathead. Completely stock. Have interest in installing a exhaust header 3 into 1 (x 2) and new intake manifold, one complete assembly. Any thoughts on using two - one barrels for the old school look? Can I use the one barrel I have with another?
Thanks :bang:
