let me ask.. how or what method were you using to retard timing under boost? sounds like you just got an education on ignition timing Vs boost. Time for new pistons. The timing is being controlled by the EFI system He understands ignition timing Vs boost and doesn't need a general education on that...

thanks fellas for the replies. i have a volt meter in the car,its charging at 14.6 volts but as you say amperage may not be enough. Thinking about it now, i now have 2 electric pumps and an ecu to power up. maybe i dont have enough amperage anymore.

you thought of a pin hole in a bore, sounds the same symptoms mine had. drove me nuts, several head gaskets later i discovered a tiny little hole in the "front" wall of #6 bore.

We never had any luck with the copper spray on a Fel-Pro or Corteco gasket. It seemed to make it worse by allowing the gasket to slide (ie pushout ) easier. If you using 1/2" studs, then 100ft/lbs. works just fine, but for a 7/16" head bolt or stud that's to much. I think absolute max. fo...

Hey Greg, You will need 14 for the mains and 14 for the head. So if the picture on that add is correct you should get away with 2 packs for your head, I didnt have to modify anything, if you want to use those ones off ebay, see if you can get some measurements lik length of stud and length of threa...

my turbo 250 2v stripped a dizzy gear and took the teeth off the cam with it gggrrrr, pissed off.
what i need to know is will a xflow camshaft fit in a pre xflow block i dont have one in the shed to compare.
