COVID may have played a big issue as well as many places are in lock down or have limitations as to what you can or can not do.
I have not been to an event since March and have just read about an event cancelled for the second time.

Sounds like a great plan. I have my T Topless at present for a good clean but with our winter that has made the job almost impossible to do.

Some people are becoming nervous about the use of forums with so many scams etc. I have also read and seen diversions from forums to porn sites and with young children that is not something you want to see.

Like many forums things are quiet and not much is happening. So many of us have been not able to do much. I have stock stock with suppliers and dealers waiting on parts that I can not send. In some places forums have been quiet due to spam controls as well and I have been made aware of forum issues ...

Try running a new earth ground wire to the gauge cluster and see what that does for you. I have had the same issue myself.

GM have used the excuse it is far to hard to manufacture right hand drive cars. So places like India, South Africa are not part of the GM market anymore. Indonesian opperations will halt in March. Sad news. So many Jobs and so many Dealers. Also intersting as to what will happen to our V8 Super car racing. Holden also made a very popular inline six with so many companies making parts to hot it up.

I run one with the 170 Pursuit Engine in my T Roadster. I can not remember what brand now and you will find smaller more compact units available now. It needs to be at the fuel tank and set to push to the Engine. Run it with a cut off switch as both anti theft and in case you have problems.

Presently packing up as it is winter here but I am packing up to visit the USA. I will be attending the NSRA Nationals then some time in LA before I attend Bonneville then back in LA to do a few more things and home.

:? Plugged it in and it worked. Only conclusion we (Auto Elec & myself) have come to is dust or moisture. Now I have a spare if it ever happens again. :D

I have the switch back so have to plug it in and see if it works or not. No fault could be found so will it work or what failed we simply do not know.

Sorry I can not answer that as I have no idea on your location. Having said that ask any good fabrication shop. You would need to have the engine sitting in place to work out how to make them.

Well the Auto Elec still has the switch and has tested it a few times. In his tests he can not find a fault but not helping here is the fact it is set up with two on settings and a neutral position. A wiring diagram of the switch would help if we could find one.

I was never impressed by the Gear Vendors units when looking at them when building the F4. In a smaller application they would be OK.

Old switch is out and the new one is in. The switch has a diode inside so will be interesting to see what can be done with it.

It is most likely the linkage is just out of adjustment. As per the last poster if Park is not lined up then it will not start in neutral. If it starts in gear then you have issues. The early Falcons in Australia had a problem jumping into reverse once started due to bad adjustment.

It was the switch. Yet to pull the old one apart to see why but the failure was in the switch.
